Welcome to our family travel blog. We are an Aussie family of four from Perth, Western Australia. We love the outdoors and exploring new places with our children.
From road tripping, camping, hiking, scuba holidays, van life to expat living, we are so lucky to have had so many experiences and visited so many places.
In recent times we have embarked on an exciting opportunity and packed up our lives in Australia and moved abroad as expats to Houston, Texas. We are enjoying ticking off our bucket list items in the United States and aiming to visit as many of the 50 States as we can whilst here.
Why Little Feet Wander?
The name of our blog is inspired by our eldest daughter's first pair of toddler shoes. Made by the Australian Brand Old Soles, these adorable toddler shoes had inscribed on the insoles “Little Feet that Walk the Earth” and this is exactly what her little feet did! She wandered everywhere with us!!
We took Evie on her first airplane trip out of Western Australia at 6 weeks old and by 18 months her little feet had wandered to numerous places within Western Australia, visited several other Australian States and completed the Nullabor and Great Ocean Road. She had also travelled to Fiji, Indonesia and around most of the United Kingdom and Ireland.
Purpose
People we meet are often amazed that we manage to travel as much as we do with two kids. It is true that travelling with young children can be a daunting task, but it does not have to be.
After numerous suggestions over the years from family and friends that we start a travel agency or a family travel blog to document and share our travel experiences (and mistakes!) with other families… here we are!
If you are wondering if we are fulltime bloggers and our kids are homeschooled, the answer is not at all. We manage our travel around usual full-time work and school commitments – we are just constantly on the go. If you ask our friends, they wonder why we even have a house, we are rarely home!
In addition to sharing our family adventures, our family travel blog will provide you the tips and tricks we have used to make our family trips stress-free and enjoyable. From packing essentials to kid-friendly destinations, we hope our blog inspires you and your family to travel and explore this amazing world.
